Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer, Software - Automation & DevOps for their Pune location. This role involves architecting a secure foundation for enterprise browsers, focusing on continuous delivery, quality, performance, and reliability. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate build, test, deployment, and update processes, and drive continuous improvement in the development lifecycle, ensuring security best practices.
Must have:
  • Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for enterprise browser.
  • Automate build, test, deployment, and update processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in build, test, and deployment strategies.
  • Scale, optimize, and maintain infrastructure for browser development.
  • Proactively monitor CI/CD system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices within CI/CD workflows.
  • 3+ years of experience in CI/CD, automation, or DevOps engineering.
  • Expertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines for complex software.
  • Highly proficient in scripting, especially Python.
  • Solid understanding of AWS and/or GCP, and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
Good to have:
  • Experience with workflow automation platforms like n8n.
  • Experience with Configuration Management tools like Ansible.
  • Familiarity with C++ build systems.

We are looking for a DevOps Automation Engineer for our Pune Location.

We are looking for a DevOps Automation Engineer for our browser development team, responsible for ensuring the continuous delivery, quality, performance and reliability of our enterprise browser platform. You will collaborate closely with our developers to automate build, test, deployment, and update processes, driving continuous improvement and innovation in our development lifecycle.

Your Impact

  • Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, deployment, and update processes for our enterprise browser.
  • Drive continuous improvement in our build, test, and deployment strategies, identifying bottlenecks and introducing innovative automation solutions to enhance efficiency, reliability and developer experience.
  • Scale, optimize and maintain infrastructure supporting the browser development and deployment lifecycle
  • Proactively monitor CI/CD system performance and troubleshoot issues, providing timely resolution to minimize disruptions and maintain smooth development workflows.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices within our CI/CD workflows, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and safeguarding our software supply chain.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a role focused on CI/CD, automation or DevOps engineering with a strong drive for problem-solving and ownership.
  • Proven expertise in designing, developing, and managing CI/CD pipelines for complex software products within continuous delivery and agile environments. Experience with GitLab CI is highly preferred.
  • Highly proficient in scripting, with a strong preference for Python.
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts, particularly with AWS and/or GCP, and practical experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes as they relate to CI/CD and automation workflows.
  • Advantageous: Experience with workflow automation platforms like n8n
  • Advantageous: Experience with Configuration Management tools like Ansible
  • Advantageous: Familiarity with C++ build systems.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and troubleshooting skills, with a keen eye for detail.
