Job Description

As a Senior Technical Solutions Consultant, Android, you'll be the technical liaison for major advertising clients and product partners. You'll lead cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales, Product Management) to utilize emerging technologies. Your responsibilities span concept design, testing, data analysis, and support, overseeing technical execution and business operations of Google's advertising platforms and partnerships. You'll balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative solutions, and act as a consultant. Building tools, automating products, and managing partnerships are key, alongside product strategy, project prioritization, and resource allocation. The role focuses on Automotive Compliance for AAOS, Google Automotive Services, and other embedded products, aligning strategies across Android verticals. You'll work with OEMs, SoC vendors, and third-party providers to define requirements and ensure high-quality products, managing and triaging compatibility test suite issues. Supporting partner communications, escalations, and exception requests are also crucial.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in Android Systems design, including Automotive Systems design.
  • 2 years of experience in partner management, including project, escalation and product partnerships.
  • Experience in project or program management and working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in an object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, C++, or Python).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with system architecture or device bring-up of Android or other Linux-based platforms.
  • Experience in managing multiple products and streams of work.
  • Experience with Android OS embedded software development.
  • Experience in managing multiple time-sensitive initiatives with high attention to detail.
  • Experience with Android Compliance (e.g., CTS, GTS, VTS, ATS) or owning and defining software, hardware, UX requirements.
  • Ability to lead and implement high-impact projects with cross-functional teams.

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

The Android Automotive Partner Engineering team is at the forefront of the automotive industry, ensuring cars launch with Android Automotive OS (AAOS), Google Automotive Services (GAS), and new automotive products to ensure a safe and seamless experience in every car.

In this role, you will work with internal and external partners, such as leading global vehicle OEMs, SoC vendors, and third-party service providers to define partner requirements and enforce compliance to ensure compatible and high-quality products. You will define and execute a Compliance strategy for an expanding product portfolio designed to give OEMs the choice of products to fit their needs. You will ensure Automotive requirements, test suites, and policies are updated with new products and new Android releases, work cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, Product, and Program Leads.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Automotive Compliance for AAOS, Google Automotive Services, and other automotive embedded products. Align the automotive compliance strategy with other Android verticals (e.g., GMS, TV, Wear).
  • Work within the Android Automotive team and with Automotive OEM partners to define ecosystem requirements to help ensure that our partners launch high-quality products.
  • Manage, maintain, and triage (Compatibility Test Suite, Vendor Test Suite, Automotive Test Suite) issues reported by OEMs, SoC vendors, and other partners. Work with third-party suppliers and execute strategies to scale Automotive Compliance for OEM partners.
  • Work with regional account teams to support partner communications, escalations, and exception requests. Help drive escalations to a resolution.
