The role also involves optimizing network execution, managing port operations efficiency, supporting procurement strategy, assisting ships with port activities like bunkering and crew changes, and handling emergency situations.

· Working with the Ocean Customer Logistic being a part of the global Operations team with new, exciting possibilities for personal and professional career development.

· The role will enable you to improve on critical skills such as execution/delivery management, process improvement, stakeholder management and communication, supplier management.

Purpose:

Shanghai port is the largest container business port around the world delivering more than 51millon TEU container throughput in 2024. Port captain acts as a key person taking charge of all Maersk operations activity coordination on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily operations including vessel scheduling, terminal resource allocation and optimization, berthing line-up and vessel formalities etc.

· Delivery network execution and optimization, contributing to service delivery to customers.

· Critical information exchange for Vessel, Cargo, Equipment, VSA partner related between port and TbM.

· Manage and drive port operations efficiency to our fleet, cargo connection, service delivery.

· Support Procurement department strategy planning, contract negotiation and TCO for specific project.

· Support ships to fulfil planned port activities including bunkering, sludge operations, medical services, crew change, repair and provision etc.

· Emergency handling for vessel, cargo related issues.
