Job Description

Valeo is seeking a Site HSE Manager (m/f/d) for its Fischbach location. This role involves advising management and employees on occupational safety and health, inspecting facilities, investigating accidents, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The manager will also conduct safety training, maintain safety databases, and participate in environmental and energy management projects. Candidates should have a technical/master's degree or equivalent, at least two years of experience in occupational safety, and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with proficiency in English.
Must Have:
  • Advise on occupational safety and health (ASIG § 6, DGUV Regulation 2).
  • Inspect facilities and equipment for safety; monitor safety markings.
  • Investigate accidents and work-related illnesses; propose remedies.
  • Identify hazards (e.g., noise, hazardous substances); propose improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and professional safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety and health training; maintain safety databases.
  • Participate in safety projects (e.g., safety weeks, noise reduction).
  • Analyze environmental problems and external accidents with authorities.
  • Support internal/external audits and cross-departmental projects.
  • Manage fire protection, energy, and environmental systems at the site.
  • Completed technician/master training or university degree.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience in occupational safety.
  • Certified Safety Specialist (ASiG) or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Strong analytical and solution-oriented working methods.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

We are looking for YOU as HSE Manager / Safety Specialist (m/f/d) for our location in Fischbach!

These challenges await you:

  • Advise all managers and employees on all questions of occupational safety and health protection in accordance with the contents of ASIG § 6 and the contents of DGUV Regulation 2
  • Check operating facilities and technical equipment for their safety-compliant condition as well as work procedures for their suitability and regularly monitor and apply safety-related markings (e.g., warning notices)
  • Observe and investigate accident events and work-related illnesses and develop and propose suitable remedial measures
  • Identify hazards (e.g., noise or hazardous substance exposure) and propose improvement measures
  • Observe legal and professional association regulations and implement relevant changes or forward them to those responsible
  • Conduct training on occupational safety and health. Maintain the occupational safety database (e.g., Quentic). Participate in projects (e.g., occupational safety weeks, noise reduction measures)
  • Participate in the analysis of internal environmental problems and external accidents involving authorities
  • Participate in specialist plant and cross-departmental projects and support internal and external audits
  • Supervision of the fire protection system, energy management and environmental management at the site

  • Training as a specialist for occupational safety according to ASiG or willingness to complete it
