Job Description

We are the German subsidiary of a globally leading provider of simulation and training technology for pilots and flight personnel. We develop, produce, and support state-of-the-art training devices for flight and land simulation. This role is for a Subject Matter Expert in Material Management and related areas, serving as a central contact for systemic issues and improvements. The position involves optimizing and modernizing ERP systems and processes, as well as participating in strategic change management planning. The role requires supporting system-technical problems, leading MGT meetings, and performing data analyses.
Must have:
  • Subject Matter Expert for processes in Material Management and related areas
  • Central contact person for all employees regarding systemic problems and improvements
  • Optimization and modernization of ERP systems and processes within the area of responsibility
  • Participation in the strategic and long-term planning of change management projects
  • SME for Material Management processes and related departments
  • First and Second Level Support for system-technical problems
  • Responsible for steering and monitoring change management enhancements and projects in the ERP system
  • Participation in steering and monitoring change management enhancements and projects in ERP systems connected via interfaces
  • Process definition and optimization in Material Management
  • Leading weekly MGT (Master Governance Team) meetings
  • Taking over/supporting MGT tasks
  • PBI report creation/modification in Material Management and possibly for other departments
  • Performing data analyses to find problem sources
  • Regular prioritization of enhancements and projects together with the global IT team
  • Creation and review of work instructions within the Material Management group
  • Consultation and coordination with other groups supported by the supervisor

We develop, produce, and support state-of-the-art training devices for flight and land simulation, as well as networked simulation applications. Our more than 500 employees work in international teams and face exciting challenges daily.

Objective of the Position:

  • Subject Matter Expert for processes in Material Management and related areas
  • Central contact person for all employees regarding systemic problems and improvements
  • Optimization and modernization of ERP systems and processes within the area of responsibility
  • Participation in the strategic and long-term planning of change management projects

Execution Tasks:

  • SME for Material Management processes and related departments
  • First and Second Level Support for system-technical problems in coordination with related departments and MTL
  • Responsible for steering and monitoring change management enhancements and projects in the Material Management ERP system together with related departments and MTL
  • Participation in steering and monitoring change management enhancements and projects in ERP systems connected via interfaces
  • Process definition and optimization in Material Management in cooperation with other departments and Quality Management
  • Leading weekly MGT (Master Governance Team) meetings
  • Taking over/supporting MGT tasks
  • PBI report creation/modification in Material Management and possibly for other departments
  • Performing data analyses to find problem sources
  • Regular prioritization of enhancements and projects together with the global IT team
  • Creation and review of work instructions within the Material Management group
  • Consultation and coordination with other groups supported by the supervisor
  • Participation in the strategic and long-term planning of change management projects

Professional Requirements:

  • Successfully completed commercial vocational training
  • An additional recognized 2-year technical training, preferably as an IT business economist
  • Professional experience in the specified field of activity of more than 3 years is required
  • Good user knowledge in an ERP system, preferably Oracle
  • Sound user knowledge in all MS-Office applications
  • Willingness to travel
  • Team and communication skills, persuasiveness and negotiation skills, customer orientation
  • Very good English skills in word and writing, French skills are an advantage
