Software Development Engineer IV - Lead

We are building this company with a hybrid working approach (3 days a week in the office), with our main teams for time zone management in San Francisco Bay Area (United States) and in Pune (India). The founders are based in the Bay Area and in Bangalore.

We are currently seeking an experienced SDE IV - Lead to join our dynamic team with maximum focus on the backend technologies. You will be working with cutting-edge technologies and the role requires a proactive individual who is adept at problem-solving and is eager to take on new challenges.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance full-stack modules from frontend to backend

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the product’s interface

• Maintain code integrity and organization, including code version control

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards

• Perform code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and suggest solutions to enhance application performance and usability

• Full stack lead is required to manage the small team of bright engineers, guide on numerous technology problems, provide optimum & effective solutions and be frontrunner to support customers

Qualifications: 

• Minimum 6 years to maximum 10 years of experience in full-stack development and more focussed on backend technologies
• B.E./B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/BSc/MSc in Computer Science/Engineering
• Strong programming skills in 1 or more languages like Java, Python, Golang and Node.JS 
• In-depth knowledge in 1 or more RDBMS or NoSQL databases like MySQL/MariaDB/PostGreSQL and Redis/MongoDB/Aerospike/Cassandra etc. 
• Web UI tools/frameworks like Angular or React JS or similar 
• Experience in building highly efficient and secured RESTful APIs
• Experience in message queues like RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ or Kafka 
• Experience in any flavour of Linux like Ubuntu or CentOS or RedHat or SuSE 
• Knowledge of software development best practices, design patterns, and principles 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent team management skills with the strong hold on day-to-day technology oriented responsibilities
• The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of AI technologies, specifically Large Language Models (LLMs), and demonstrate experience integrating these tools into engineering workflows. Familiarity with implementing and leveraging AI/LLMs to enhance team productivity, solve complex problems, and drive innovation is highly preferred.
