Job Description:

Responsible for leading a software engineering team in building, maintaining, operating, and supporting its applications. Provide hands-on technical guidance, leadership, and mentorship to the engineering team with responsibility for high quality delivery. Take on complex software development tasks to build software using industry technologies, such as Java, JavaScript, JSON/XML, Junit, Amazon Web Services, Docker, Snowflake, and Kubernetes. Answer technical questions for the team and complete code reviews in GitHub. Ensure that the development work of the team is completed to satisfy the business requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field and seven (7) years of experience in application development. Experience must include seven years in each of the following:
• Building and delivering applications and systems on top of AWS;
• Working with application frameworks using Java and Spring Boot;
• Using Object-Relational Mapping frameworks;
• Designing Open API contract-first RESTful services versioned and deprecated at scale;
• Creating relational scalable storage using Postgres with query optimizations; and
• Using full-stack test automation technologies Junit and Pytest.
• Eligible for up to 100% remote work within the continental United States.

Pay Transparency Statement:

US Base Salary Range: $114,500.00 - $148,800.00

Base pay offered to new hires may vary based upon factors including relevant industry and job-related skills and experience, geographic location, and business needs.* The range displayed does not encompass the full potential of the role, which allows for further growth and career progression.

In addition, as a part of our total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Vertex Bonus Plan (VOB), a role-specific sales commission/bonus, and/or equity grants.
