Job Description

In addition to leading purchasing activities, the Sourcing Lead supports the development, communication and execution of commodity strategies and/or other projects (e.g., process optimization), as well as supplier relationship management activities.
Must have:
  • Follow up on orders to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Issue purchase order follow-ups to ensure correct pricing, terms, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Input data into ERP tools (e.g., Oracle).
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory.
  • Analyze purchase requests for accuracy and alignment with business needs.
  • Negotiate pricing specific to purchase order needs.
  • Work cross-functionally to address quality and obsolescence issues.
  • Support supplier relationships and performance.
  • Maintain supplier scorecards.
  • Develop and execute medium complexity purchasing strategies for favorable pricing and/or improved T&Cs.
  • Provide recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives and manage supplier selection.
  • Support the development, communication, and execution of commodity strategies.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Order Management:

  • Follow up on orders to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Issue purchase order follow-ups to ensure correct pricing, terms, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Data Management:

  • Input data into ERP tools (e.g., Oracle).
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory.
  • Analyze purchase requests for accuracy and alignment with business needs.

Supplier Management:

  • Negotiate pricing specific to purchase order needs.
  • Work cross-functionally to address quality and obsolescence issues.
  • Support supplier relationships and performance.
  • Maintain supplier scorecards.

Strategic Procurement:

  • Develop and execute medium complexity purchasing strategies for favorable pricing and/or improved T&Cs.
  • Provide recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.

  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access); quick to learn new systems and tools.
  • Bilingual: fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
