The Sr. Director of BU Planning will lead Marvell’s Business Unit Planning function, overseeing S&OP to align supply and demand across product lines. This role drives operational readiness and customer satisfaction through strategic planning, execution, and transformation. Responsibilities include leading S&OP cycles, executing production plans, managing product lifecycles, and collaborating cross-functionally to optimize planning tools and processes, ensuring continuous improvement and customer delivery.

  • Drive quarterly and monthly alignment across BU, Sales, and Finance on revenue forecasts and build plans.
  • Own the monthly, quarterly and annual S&OP cycle, integrating demand signals, supply constraints, and business priorities.
  • Drive S&OE execution to ensure real-time responsiveness to demand fluctuations and supply disruptions.
  • Collaborate with demand planning, sales operations, and finance to ensure consensus-based forecasting and bias reduction.
  • Lead a team of BU planners to execute production build plans and long-range supply projections.
  • Allocate capacity across Marvell’s product portfolio, balancing delivery goals and inventory targets.
  • Manage product lifecycle planning, including ramp-up, sustainment, and end-of-life transitions.
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Demand Planning, Engineering, IT, and external partners (foundries, OSATs) to optimize planning tools and processes.
  • Institutionalize KPIs and dashboards for plan vs. actual monitoring.
  • Drive continuous improvement through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Prioritize customer delivery escalations and resolve supply constraints.
  • Support critical customer programs and ensure on-time delivery performance.
  • 15+ years of experience in semiconductor supply chain operations, including 10+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in demand planning, production planning, and supply chain analytics.
  • Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis, Oracle).
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, financial cost models and BOMs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead semiconductor supply chain transformation initiatives.

The Sr. Director of BU Planning will lead the Business Unit (BU) Planning function within Marvell’s global supply chain organization, with ownership of S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning). This role is pivotal in aligning supply and demand across multiple product lines, driving operational readiness, and ensuring customer satisfaction through strategic planning, execution, and transformation.

What You Can Expect

Strategic Planning & Transformation

  • Lead the transformation of BU Planning into a scalable, sustainable, and world-class platform, inspired by Marvell’s innovation-driven mindset.
  • Develop and execute BU-specific supply plans aligned with corporate strategy and customer demand.
  • Drive quarterly and monthly alignment across BU, Sales, and Finance on revenue forecasts and build plans.
  • Champion scenario planning and predictive analytics to support executive decision-making.

S&OP Leadership

  • Own the monthly, quarterly and annual S&OP cycle, integrating demand signals, supply constraints, and business priorities.
  • Drive S&OE execution to ensure real-time responsiveness to demand fluctuations and supply disruptions.
  • Collaborate with demand planning, sales operations, and finance to ensure consensus-based forecasting and bias reduction.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead a team of BU planners to execute production build plans and long-range supply projections.
  • Allocate capacity across Marvell’s product portfolio, balancing delivery goals and inventory targets.
  • Manage product lifecycle planning, including ramp-up, sustainment, and end-of-life transitions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales Operations, Demand Planning, Engineering, IT, and external partners (foundries, OSATs) to optimize planning tools and processes.
  • Engage with IT to configure and enhance planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis, Oracle) to support evolving business models.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Institutionalize KPIs and dashboards for plan vs. actual monitoring.
  • Drive continuous improvement through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Apply advanced analytics to monitor performance metrics and generate actionable insights.

Customer Engagement

  • Prioritize customer delivery escalations and resolve supply constraints.
  • Support critical customer programs and ensure on-time delivery performance.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Operations; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in semiconductor supply chain operations, including 10+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in demand planning, production planning, and supply chain analytics.
  • Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis, Oracle).
  • Strong leadership, influence, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, financial cost models and BOMs.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

178,980 - 268,100, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
