• Systems Engineer, electronic or related careers
• 8+ years of experience in Databases.
• Desirable Knowledge in tomcat application servers
• Desirable knowledge Operating Systems AIX, Linux.
• Excellent communication skills, confidence, initiative, customer orientation and organization.
• Intermediate English spoken and written

The Sr. Engineer position requires a high level of knowledge and experience in Oracle and PostgreSQL Databases. They must be responsible for the availability, integrity and security of the databases and for managing the configuration, performance and security, ensuring an optimal data flow.

Participate in deciding how to design and project databases and ensure the good performance of the platform under their charge to provide support and guarantee the availability of technological services, ensuring service levels.

How you will contribute

• Install, configure and manage databases.
• Ensure high availability of the database
• Ensure database security, including backups and disaster recovery.
• Implement database maintenance plans
• Develop user audits (roles, profiles and privileges)
• Plan, Analyze, design the installation and configuration of Databases,
• Plan and estimate capacity in Databases.
• Develop Replication tasks.
• Advise managers on database-related issues.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Generate plans to maintain database availability and compliance with SLA’s agreements.
• Keep databases updated and secure.
• Generate improvement plans for Databases.
• Capacity planning (managing the growing volume of databases)
• Monitor Databases to ensure correct operation and provision of technological services.
• Ensure that all database implementations comply with internal security and architecture requirements.
• Participate in projects based on your experience.
• Able to keep up with technological advances.
• Teamwork

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
