The iconic Adobe Photoshop team is bringing its ‘magic’ to the Android platform. As part for of this 1.0 initiative, we are building the core engineering team and now hiring for an exceptional Sr. Software Development Engineer . As a part of the core engineering team, you will be responsible for owning the technical vision and execution of the digital imaging workflows in this product. You will be working in a fast-paced, agile environment, partnering closely with fellow developers, quality engineers, designers, and product managers. Your role as a senior developer will play a key part in hand delivering an incredible user experience. We are looking for someone who holds high standards for their own work. The ideal candidate is clearly the one who is adaptable to an agile, collaborative environment and has a proven track record of success in shipping mobile applications. What you will do
Deliver high quality, robust features and own them.
Be a critical member of an Agile development environment in one of the Photoshop feature teams
Work closely with geographically distributed Quality Engineers, Product Management, User Experience Designers to deliver “Adobe magic”
Write automation tests to fully test your code
Code review your peers work in a thoughtful constructive manner
Be a mentor and role model for junior engineers.

What you need to succeed
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science
12+ years of overall development experience with 4+ years in Android Mobile app development
Experience with modern C++ programming
Deep understanding of Android SDKs
Able to architect a 1.0 product from the ground up by working across different components available internally/externally
Expertise in developing pixel perfect and fluid UI interactions
Exceptional Java/ Kotlin Android programming skills.
Good/practical understanding of architectural patterns
Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate across teams and build consensus
Experience working in an Agile environment
Able to communicate technical details clearly to all levels of the organisation
At ease with ambiguity and able to adapt and change direction/technologies to leverage new learnings.
