Job Summary:
The position of Stores Delivery Driver is responsible for warehouse and stores deliveries, adhering to inventory management processes.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for the end to end control of Cubic Assets
- Assist and support inventory management processes, work instructions and standard operational procedures in accordance with the company’s quality system to ensure compliance
- Ensure all equipment is properly handled
- Deliver and pick up customer equipment returns and other items as directed using a company or other such vehicle provided by Cubic
- Escalate any issues in the day-to-day operations for resolution
- Maintain a sound knowledge of WH&S and take an active part in safety issues as required, particularly in areas of manual handling
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System
- Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
- Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organizations
- Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures
- Other duties as requested
Minimum Job Requirements:
Essential:
- New South Wales Class C driver’s license
Desirable:
- Qualifications or certification in warehouse operations
Skills/Experience/Knowledge
Essential:
- Relevant experience within a stores/warehouse environment
- Loading, transporting and delivering items in a safe, timely manner
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
- Strong time management and customer service skills
Desirable:
- Practical experience and understanding of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
Personal Qualities
- Excellent customer service, communication skills and an ability to develop working relationships with customers
- Strong verbal and communication skills and an ability to escalate issues to resolution
- Attention to detail and willingness to listen to feedback
- Ability to use initiative and work with limited direction
- Able to adapt quickly to demands and environment
- Demonstrated understanding of manual handling requirements
- Team player and energetic
- Motivated to implement and promote positive occupational health, safety and environment outcomes
