Job Description
Voodoo seeks a Studio Director to build and lead a 4-6 person team creating new mobile games. Responsibilities encompass the entire game development lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to launch and scaling. This role requires collaboration with publishing, data, and user acquisition teams. The Director will define the studio's roadmap, create original gameplay concepts using data, rapidly prototype and iterate, partner with publishing for testing and scaling, monitor KPIs, manage resources and budget, and ensure high-performing products with global impact. The ideal candidate possesses entrepreneurial leadership skills, proven mobile game development experience, a deep understanding of gameplay, monetization, and UX, strong creativity and analytical thinking.

Team
Our Core Games team is made up of top-performing experts in hybrid-casual, casual, and mid-core game development. We support both internal and external studios in building, scaling, and launching chart-topping games. With our portfolio of hybrid games each aiming for $100m+ per year, we are the largest and most successful hybrid publisher in the world.
We are now looking for a Studio Director to build and lead a lean, high-performing team dedicated to creating new mobile games from scratch. As a Studio Director, you will own the entire game development lifecycle—from ideation and fast prototyping to launch and scale—while working closely with publishing, data, and user acquisition teams.
Role
- Build and lead a top-tier game studio of 4–6 developers, artists, and designers
- Own the full game creation process, from idea to full launch
- Define your studio’s roadmap and strategy in collaboration with a dedicated publishing manager
- Create original, high-potential gameplay concepts using data-driven ideation
- Rapidly prototype and iterate to validate game ideas and optimize performance
- Partner with Voodoo’s publishing team to test, refine, and scale the most promising games
- Monitor game KPIs, analyze performance, and implement data-informed improvements
- Manage your studio's resources and budget with efficiency and autonomy
Profile
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong leadership skills
- Proven experience leading game teams and shipping successful mobile titles
- Deep understanding of gameplay, monetization, and user experience
- Highly creative with strong product sense and analytical thinking
- 5+ years of experience in mobile game development (hybrid-casual, casual, or mid-core)
