Job Description

We are looking for a Confirmed Game Designer for our next project. Your main missions will be to design and define game mechanics and systems consistent with the project's vision, and to document, communicate, and monitor their implementation with the relevant teams. You will be supervised by the Creative Director and work within a team of 6 people. Responsibilities include designing game mechanics, creating and updating design documents, interacting with various trades for implementation, and driving the successful completion of your tasks to achieve the expected quality level.

Must Have:
  • Design game mechanics and systems in line with the project's creative and design direction
  • Create and maintain design documents and communicate them effectively to the team
  • Interact with various trades to successfully implement the mechanics and systems you are responsible for
  • Drive the smooth progress of your projects and achieve the expected quality level
  • Good knowledge of Unreal Engine, ideally UE5
  • Strong sensitivity to game feel, particularly applied to action and combat mechanics
  • Good synthesis ability and good verbal and written communication (in French and English)
  • Ability to illustrate and format design documents for accessibility
  • Ability to analyze and challenge your own work

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Confirmed Game Designer for our next project. You will be supervised by the Creative Director.

The team you will be working with consists of 6 people of all seniority levels.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Design game mechanics and systems in accordance with the project's creative and design direction;
  • Create and maintain design documents and communicate them effectively to the team;
  • Interact with various trades to successfully implement the mechanics and systems you are responsible for;
  • Drive the smooth progress of your projects and achieve the expected quality level.

REQUIRED PROFILE

We are looking for the following skills:

  • Good knowledge of Unreal Engine, ideally UE5;
  • Strong sensitivity to game feel, particularly applied to action and combat mechanics;
  • Good synthesis ability as well as good verbal and written communication (in French and English);
  • You know how to illustrate and format your design documents to be as accessible and understandable as possible for your interlocutors;
  • You have the ability to analyze and challenge your own work.

It's a plus if you have the following skills/qualities:

  • An appetite for action and combat games
  • Knowledge of GAS in Unreal.

It is not necessary to meet all criteria to apply. Career changes are also accepted.

Position available on a permanent contract (CDI) as soon as possible.

Compensation takes into account the SNJV barometer and our internal salary grids.
