Job Description

We’re seeking a collaborative, resourceful, and detail-oriented Supervisor, Mail Services to join our Lucasfilm team. This role plays a critical part in supporting Lucasfilm’s operational logistics, ensuring the secure and efficient movement of packages, equipment and materials across multiple sites. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about enabling creativity through operational excellence. This role is considered Onsite, which means the employee will work 100% onsite 5 days a week at our San Francisco office.
Must have:
  • Lead and manage daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Process all inbound and outbound shipments according to company procedures.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for complex shipments across multiple locations.
  • Organize and coordinate regular Ranch runs and other location-based deliveries.
  • Prepare and manage international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices and customs forms.
  • Ensure international shipments comply with applicable customs, import/export, and regulatory requirements.
  • Resolve issues and assist with opening claims for lost and damaged shipments.
  • Engage with specialized couriers, freight forwarders, and third-party vendors for secure transportation.
  • Utilize Oracle or similar enterprise systems to receive and process items against purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate shipping logs, inventory databases, and receiving reports for audits and control.
  • Assist Workplace Services team as needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all logistics activities.
  • Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are processed according to company procedures
  • Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams—including Stage, IT, and Production—to schedule and manage complex shipments across multiple locations.
  • Organize and coordinate regular Ranch runs and other location-based deliveries.
  • Prepare and manage international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, customs forms, carnets, and regulatory paperwork.
  • Ensure all international shipments comply with applicable customs, import/export, and regulatory requirements.
  • Resolve issues and assist with opening claims for lost and damaged shipments
  • Engage with specialized couriers, freight forwarders, and third-party vendors to arrange secure and timely transportation across multiple locations.
  • Utilize Oracle or similar enterprise receiving/shipping systems to receive and process items against purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate shipping logs, inventory databases, and receiving reports to support internal audits and inventory control.
  • Assist Workplace Services team as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or warehouse management, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) - College degree is a plus
  • Experience with Oracle or equivalent shipping/receiving and inventory systems.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively work individually and in a team environment
  • Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
  • A valid drivers license and reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
