Salesforce is seeking a strategic and innovative leader to serve as our Senior Vice President, Global Compensation. This executive role will drive and oversee the Design & Strategy Global Compensation, Global Rewards M&A, and client-facing Global Rewards Partners functions. The goal is to ensure programs attract, retain, and reward talent while aligning with business goals and financial priorities. You will partner with C-suite Executives and business leaders to ensure market competitiveness, pay equity, and compliance in alignment with our location and workforce planning strategy.
Must have:
  • Develop and execute a global compensation strategy
  • Champion pay equity and global pay transparency
  • Lead Global M&A integration strategies related to compensation, benefits, and rewards programs
  • Build strong partnership with the Global Incentive Compensation function
  • Drive global job architecture, leveling frameworks, and pay-for-performance culture
  • Design and deliver broad-based compensation programs on time and on budget
  • Develop annual compensation budgets and lead long range plan initiatives
  • Lead OTE and TDC market reviews
  • Ensure compliance with global pay regulations
  • Conduct regular pay equity audits
  • Leverage data analytics, predictive modelling, and ES technology
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership
  • 15+ years of experience in Total Rewards leadership
  • Deep expertise in broad-based compensation
  • Experience in the design, implementation and management of global benefits and retirement programs
  • Experience advising C-suite executives and working with Board Compensation Committees
  • Solid knowledge of global compensation and benefits regulations
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex total rewards programs
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and earn trust
  • Experience building, leading and working with teams spanning multiple geographies
  • Experience in working in fast-paced environments
  • Industry savvy, up to date, and energized by current and future industry trends

We are seeking a strategic and innovative leader to serve as our Senior Vice President, Global Compensation. This senior executive role will drive and oversee the Design & Strategy Global Compensation, Global Rewards M&A and client-facing Global Rewards Partners functions to ensure that our programs attract, retain, and reward the right talent in the right roles in the right markets while aligning with business goals and financial priorities.

You will partner closely with the head of Executive and Equity Compensation, Head of Global Benefits, C-suite Executives, Functional and Business leaders to ensure market competitiveness, pay equity and compliance in alignment with our location and workforce planning strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Compensation Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute a global compensation strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and talent strategy
  • Champion pay equity and global pay transparency to drive employee engagement and inclusion
  • Lead Global M&A integration strategies related to compensation, benefits, and rewards programs
  • Build strong partnership with the Global Incentive Compensation function to support the business through a holistic view of compensation
  • Drive global job architecture, leveling frameworks, and pay-for-performance culture

Compensation Programs

  • Design and deliver broad-based compensation programs on time and on budget including salary structures, merit, promotions, and compensation policies
  • Develop annual compensation budgets and lead long range plan initiatives
  • Lead OTE (On Target Earnings) and TDC (Total Direct Compensation - including stock) market reviews to ensure that we maintain our desired competitive position
  • Ensure compliance with global pay regulations (e.g. EU Pay Directive, US Pay Transparency, Global Pay Reports and other pay equity laws and disclosure requirements)
  • Conduct regular pay equity audits to ensure fairness and competitive positioning

Technology, Analytics & Insights

  • Leverage data analytics, predictive modelling, and ES technology to assess the effectiveness of compensation programs and drive strategic decision-making
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on compensation and market trends

Qualifications & Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in Total Rewards leadership, with at least 5 years in an executive role
  • Deep expertise in broad-based compensation
  • Experience in the design, implementation and management of global benefits and retirement programs
  • Experience advising C-suite executives and working with Board Compensation Committees
  • Solid knowledge of global compensation and benefits regulations, including SEC, FASB, IFRS, ERISA, and regional labor laws and experience of working with European Works Councils
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex total rewards programs in multinational environments
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills
  • Experience in a publicly traded or multinational company preferred
  • Provide effective, collaborative, and inclusive leadership grounded in humility ,with a growth mindset, high standards, and reputation for delivering high quality results
  • Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with the ability to influence and earn trust at the highest level in the organization
  • Experience building, leading and working with teams spanning multiple geographies
  • Experience in working in fast-paced environments including large enterprise software companies
  • Industry savvy, up to date, and energized by current and future industry trends on compensation and benefits
