Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled System Administrator with a strong focus on Linux and Cloud technologies to join our team. This is an individual contributor role requiring 3+ years of hands-on experience in system and cloud administration.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide OS-level support on Linux (90%) and Windows systems
- Administer and maintain cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / VMware)
- Manage Azure resources (VMs, VNets, ARM templates, IAM, security, backup, disaster recovery)
- Monitor system health, optimize performance, and ensure cost efficiency
- Apply patches, upgrades, and manage tools/utilities on Linux systems (RedHat/CentOS)
- Configure and troubleshoot NFS, SMB, LVM, and network/firewall settings
- Support virtualization, storage, and load balancing as needed
- Automate tasks using scripting (Bash or similar) and tools like Ansible or Chef
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of Linux administration experience (RedHat/CentOS)
- Solid Azure/cloud administration skills
- Working knowledge of Windows (Wintel) environments
- Familiarity with networking, firewalls, and OS-level security best practices
- Exposure to open-source tools (e.g., Nginx, Apache, SFTP/FTP)
- Certifications in Azure Administration/Architecture are a plus
