Onward Search is seeking a seasoned Systems Architect for a global consumer tech company. This hybrid role (2-3 days onsite in Allen, TX, Austin, TX, or Costa Mesa, CA) is a 6-month contract with potential for conversion to FTE. Responsibilities include Active Directory discovery, project coordination, infrastructure design and maintenance (Trusts, Group Policies, Replication, etc.), Azure/O365 administration, PowerShell scripting, performance monitoring, and cross-business unit collaboration. The ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of experience with Active Directory, Azure, O365, PKI, DNS, and GPO administration, along with extensive PowerShell scripting experience and expertise in Windows Server OS (2012-2022).

Our client is seeking a seasoned Systems Architect with a strong background in Active Directory. This role is a hybrid position, requiring 2-3 days onsite at our client's location in Allen, Texas, Austin, Texas, or Costa Mesa, CA. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex Active Directory projects and systems, collaborating closely with other AD system admins to discover current AD infrastructure and dependencies.

This is a full-time, 6-month contract opportunity with potential for conversion to FTE.

Systems Architect Responsibilities: 

  • Conducting Active Directory discovery with multiple stakeholders

  • Coordinating changes and project progress with project managers

  • Analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining the Active Directory infrastructure, including Trusts, Group Policies, Replication, Global Catalog, and Distributed File System

  • Administering and supporting Azure, O365, and other cloud services

  • Creating and modifying PowerShell scripts related to Active Directory

  • Administering Active Directory, Domain Controllers (DC), file and print sharing, web services, and application servers

  • Executing capacity and performance data collection, monitoring, and reporting

  • Coordinating with multiple business units for interface and support

Systems Architect Requirements: 

  • 10+ years of experience with Active Directory, Azure, O365, PKI, DNS, and GPO administration

  • 10+ years of PowerShell scripting experience

  • Extensive experience working with Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022)

  • Experience with system automation using PowerShell and other tools

  • Ability to articulate technical issues to a non-technical audience and refine business requirements into technical documentation

  • Ability to manage diverse tasks with differing priorities

  • Knowledge of client/server network protocols

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to make decisions and manage time effectively

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
