Who will you be working with? Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, ANZ & SEA, the role will be responsible for developing relationships and partnering with internal stakeholders to understand resourcing profiles that aligns with business priorities. Support includes but is not limited to, end-to-end recruitment process for Wabtec locations across ANZ. We are passionate about the culture we are building, and this role will support in both white- & blue-collar recruitment (90-10 split). This role represents equal parts of partnership, creativity, execution, and reporting.
Where is the position located? The role can be based at any of our offices in Eagle Farm (QLD), Rydalmere (NSW) or Melbourne (VIC). Currently we have a hybrid working model with 3 days in office.
What will your typical day look like?
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including contributing to developing role descriptions and undertaking job grading evaluations.
Assist in the selection of the best talent by participating in and applying consistent screening, interviewing and selection processes.
Provide exceptional candidate care by providing timely updates and feedback throughout the recruitment process.
Ensure interview and selection panel members are familiar with recruitment processes, coach where necessary and ensure that processes are applied in a fair and equitable manner.
Conduct necessary candidate background and pre-employment checks through Wabtec’s third-party vendor.
Onboard contingent workers ensuring Wabtec compliance requirements are satisfied.
Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for all new hires, liaising with hiring managers to transition new hires into their role.
Uphold the Wabtec brand through positive and timely interactions with candidates and hiring managers.
Conduct hiring manager interview training periodically.
Conduct online new-hire orientation sessions.
Exercise high level of attention to detail in ensuring the end-to-end recruitment process is adhered to.
What do we want to know about you?
Minimum 5 years’ experience in previous talent acquisition related roles gained in an in-house recruitment team.
Experience working for Rail, Manufacturing, Construction and/or engineering service provider will be looked at favourably but is not essential.
Experience recruiting across a number of different disciplines including but not limited to: engineering, project management and manufacturing.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact, influence and negotiate as required.
Sound knowledge of employment processes and legislative requirements.
Excellent time management skills and a true sense of urgency coupled with an ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities.
A high level of personal drive and determination with the ability to work autonomously but also collaboratively within a team environment.
Highly developed stakeholder management skills working in a matrix corporate environment.
