Job Description

Sika is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Team Lead to oversee daily manufacturing operations in Haines City, Florida. This role involves guiding a team of operators, ensuring production goals are met, maintaining safety and quality standards, and coordinating with other departments for smooth operations. Key responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, supervising production staff, training team members, monitoring schedules, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Must have:
  • Champion and enforce all safety, environmental, and site policies.
  • Supervise production staff to meet daily schedules, optimize output, and minimize downtime.
  • Train, guide, and support new and current team members; promote teamwork and accountability.
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules and workflows to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Communicate with maintenance on equipment issues and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Complete shift reports, downtime logs, and production documentation accurately.
  • Manage break schedules to keep production lines running efficiently.
  • Provide feedback on employee performance, attendance, and training progress.
  • Operate forklifts and production equipment; perform equipment setup, basic maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Ensure proper handling of raw materials, waste, and inventory; conduct cycle counts and assist with full inventories.
  • Work closely with Quality Control to ensure products meet specifications and documentation is accurate.
  • Maintain clear communication with other shifts and departments to ensure continuity.
  • Lead housekeeping efforts and ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and follow all standard operating procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong communication and basic math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages).
  • Ability to learn and troubleshoot production processes.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Willing to work any shift and overtime as needed.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
Good to have:
