Job Description

At Chainguard, we’re on a mission to make the software supply chain secure by default. We’re looking for a Technical Support Manager (EMEA) to lead the team that helps our customers resolve issues. You will coach and build a team of Technical Support Engineers, oversee workflows, escalations, and SLAs, refine playbooks and processes, translate customer frustrations into product feedback, and use data to spot trends and improve efficiency.
Good To Have:
  • Technical background (e.g., Technical Architecture, DevSecOps, Linux, Opensource or Kubernetes) highly preferred.
  • Ability to dive into the weeds.
Must Have:
  • Real experience leading and inspiring Technical Support Engineers in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • A track record of hiring, developing, and keeping great people.
  • Stellar communication skills: you can speak “engineer,” “executive,” and “customer” without breaking a sweat.
  • A customer-obsessed mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

The Role in a Nutshell

We’re looking for a Technical Support Manager (EMEA) to lead the superheroes who help our customers when things go sideways. You’ll run the squad that turns “Uh oh” into “All good” fast, friendly, and with just enough flair.

What You’ll Do :

  • Coach and Squad-Build: Mentor and grow a team of Technical Support Engineers who can handle complex customer issues.
  • Tame the Ticket Monster: Oversee workflows, escalations, and SLAs like a pro. No loose ends, no tickets falling into black holes.
  • Improve, Improve, Improve: Refine playbooks and processes so our team works smarter (not just harder).
  • Be the Bridge: Translate customer frustrations into product feedback, and engineering updates into customer joy.
  • Data Ninja Moves: Use tools, dashboards, and metrics to spot trends, squash inefficiencies, and keep things running smoother than a freshly patched kernel.

What We're Looking For:

  • Real experience leading and inspiring Technical Support Engineers in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • A track record of hiring, developing, and keeping great people (we like happy teams).
  • Stellar communication skills: you can speak “engineer,” “executive,” and “customer” without breaking a sweat.
  • A customer-obsessed mindset (bonus points if you’ve said “let’s fix it the right way” more than once in your career).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field; technical background (e.g., Technical Architecture, DevSecOps, Linux, Opensource or Kubernetes) highly preferred. Even better: we love when you can dive into the weeds.

Base Salary Range

£89,000 - £100,000 GBP
