Job Description

The Technical Delivery Manager will be responsible for the DataScope suite of applications within the Pricing and Reference Service business. They will oversee technical delivery managers, manage project plans, develop roadmaps, improve processes, manage budgets, mitigate risks, and engage with customers. The role requires preparing and presenting regular project status reports to senior management and facilitating team leadership. The individual will serve as the main point of contact for teams. The candidate will be involved in planning, monitoring, tracking, and reporting multiple projects in parallel.

Role Description:

The DataScope suite of applications is part of our Pricing and Reference Service business. It is a respected application used in the wider finance industry where clients can do downloads of Pricing and Reference data in customized and standardized reports. The applications have ~1500 external clients who consume financial data to analyse funds and the market position of global industry players.

In this role, you will be joining Data Platforms as a Technical Delivery Manager: serving the entire spectrum of data needs across asset classes, latency and delivery mechanisms including real-time data and reference, and legal entity data. Additionally, you will be responsible for the delivery of several strategic internal initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivery management:
    • Oversite of 1-2 technical delivery managers to ensure all targets are being bet.
    • Oversite and creation/management of delivery plans and creation and maintenance of achievements;
    • Project planning, monitoring, tracking and reporting including multiple projects in parallel;
    • Develop and maintain delivery roadmaps and RAIDs for the projects;
  • Process Improvement:
    • Establish project governance;
    • Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes;
  • Budget Management:
    • Budget and forecast management;
    • Control and adjust budget;
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate risks, manage issues, track dependencies and changes;
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for collaborators, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and partners;
  • Team Leadership:
    • Resource Management across multiple zones (although not line management);
    • Coordinate and collaborate across teams.

The role requires a lot of partner engagement and the ability to build and maintain strong collaborator relationships especially with product owners and management is essential. The role serves as the main point of contact for the teams, regularly facilities meetings and running workshops where required.

It’s essential to have good experience of preparing and communicating high quality presentations, reports and updates to senior management.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years project management experience across the full SDLC;
  • Experience in financial market data or financial products is desired;
  • Experience in leading and managing large-scale programs using global resources.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall);
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills;
  • Exceptional communication and social skills;
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
