Job Description

Redhorse is seeking a Technical Expert SME to provide critical technical guidance and support to clients within the US National Security community. This role involves leading projects, evaluating policy and systems, implementing corrective actions, and translating complex technical information. The expert will directly impact national security operations by improving data utilization, system performance, and communication, applying expertise in IC mission sets, FISA policy, and case management.
Must have:
  • Leading, planning, initiating, coordinating, and executing special projects and programs of varying scope and complexity.
  • Evaluating policy, data, and systems and advising on options for improvements or change.
  • Implementing corrective actions based on assessments and analysis.
  • Translating and communicating complex technical subject matter to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Utilizing U.S. National Security systems to support mission objectives.
  • Applying expertise in IC mission sets, FISA policy, and case management.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience working in U.S. National Security, intelligence, defense, or law enforcement communities.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience using U.S. National Security systems.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience with U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) mission sets, FISA policy, and case management.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in writing and presenting oral briefs and presentations.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience displaying poise, tact, and diplomacy with all levels of staff and stakeholders.
  • Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
Good to have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Communications, Business, Finance, or other related analytical, scientific, or data-based Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Experience with FISAMS, Sentinel, and DIVS.
  • Experience supporting national security missions/operations, USIC functions, roles, and/or components, including the intelligence cycle.
  • Experience working in a federal-interagency environment, including collaboration with multiple U.S. government departments and agencies on joint programs.
  • Experience briefing executive-level audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, planning, initiating, coordinating, and executing special projects and programs of varying scope and complexity.
  • Evaluating policy, data, and systems and advising on options for improvements or change.
  • Implementing corrective actions based on assessments and analysis.
  • Translating and communicating complex technical subject matter to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Utilizing U.S. National Security systems to support mission objectives.
  • Applying expertise in IC mission sets, FISA policy, and case management.
  • Understanding how stakeholders use various enterprise systems and applications.
  • Writing and presenting oral briefs and presentations to various levels of staff and stakeholders.
  • Displaying poise, tact, and diplomacy with all levels of staff and stakeholders.
  • Successfully utilizing MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.

Required Experience/Clearance
