Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager III at Google Cloud Storage, you will lead the onboarding of large external cloud customers, supporting feature and product launches from a capacity and cost perspective. You'll unblock scaling of large AI/ML workloads, leveraging data analysis to improve processes and decision-making. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders is crucial to understand business pipelines and integrate this information into capacity planning. You'll assess compute, storage, and network capacity needed for onboarding and scaling customer workloads while enhancing the overall customer experience. This role requires managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects, identifying future opportunities, improving processes, and driving technical directions. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with cloud technologies or technical infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting customers in capacity planning or inventory optimization.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in data modeling, trend analysis, statistics, forecasting, or business insights.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You will explain your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you will manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes, and driving the technical directions of your programs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the onboarding of large external cloud customers onto Google Cloud Storage, and support launches of features and products from a capacity and cost standpoint.
  • Unblock scaling of large AI/ML workloads onto Google Cloud Storage through pre-deployment, runways, non-linear translation functions, and dynamic attach rates.
  • Leverage data analysis to identify trends and correlations to develop insights that can improve processes and help make effective decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand the business pipeline, customer workloads and load parameters, and integrate this information into the capacity planning lifecycle.
  • Drive the assessment of Compute, Storage, and Network capacity required to onboard and scale customer workloads while improving the overall customer experience.
