As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. The Central Operations (Ops) team globally manages programs and standards for the data center site operations. The functions provide operational execution support (e.g., Incident Management, Fleet Deployment, Spares and Maintenance Planning) along with program oversight (e.g., Operational Assessments, Data Quality, Business Process support) and transformation program partnership with the field operations. The team also supports new product introductions into the fleet.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Learn, document and align Machine Learning (ML) workload dependencies on power and cooling infrastructure and various triggers for load shedding. Translate those dependencies into operational guidelines and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for planned and unplanned downtime.
- Develop, communicate and implement a Maintenance SLO policy for Data Center Operations (DCOps) with an exception and a change management plan and update guidance for site operations to manage work within the maintenance SLOs.
- Develop and implement a global strategy and a playbook for shutdown/turnaround maintenance for facilities operations.
- Design, develop and implement a sustaining planned downtime communications solution supporting both internal and external Cloud customers in partnership with the incident management team.
- Work with partner teams to implement programmatic changes to supply chain, resource planning, contracting, security, environmental and others processes impacted from a parallel maintenance approach.
