Job Description

This role involves providing technical support for ultrasound diagnostic equipment, primarily assisting Field Service Engineers with troubleshooting and on-site support. Responsibilities include managing escalations to overseas manufacturing departments for issues and quality problems, collaborating with domestic and international teams for problem resolution, providing technical information and training to FSEs, and participating in overseas product training for domestic deployment. The specialist will also support the establishment of support systems during product introduction phases and handle product recalls/revisions, contributing to FSE productivity and service improvement.
Must have:
  • Provide technical support and on-site assistance to Field Service Engineers for ultrasound diagnostic equipment.
  • Manage escalation and feedback to overseas manufacturing departments regarding troubles and quality issues.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with domestic and international departments for problem resolution.
  • Provide technical information and training to FSEs, and assist in planning training programs.
  • Participate in overseas product training and deploy programs domestically.
  • Ensure timely domestic deployment of product and service information.
  • Establish support systems during the domestic product introduction phase.
  • Handle recalls and revisions of ultrasound diagnostic equipment and related products.
  • Contribute to FSE productivity and service improvement in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Over 5 years of practical experience as a Field Service Engineer.
  • Experience in resolving customer complaints and problems with leadership.
  • Proficiency in English reading, writing, and daily conversation (TOEIC 550+).
  • Extremely fluent in Japanese reading, writing, and conversation.
  • Basic PC skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to communicate smoothly with internal staff and customers, and work in a team.
  • University or technical college graduate with a science background.
  • Driver's license required.

  • No resistance to meetings and scheduling adjustments with overseas departments with time differences.

As a specialist with technical expertise in ultrasound diagnostic equipment, you will primarily engage in the following tasks. This is a highly rewarding role where you will acquire advanced expertise, collaborate with domestic and international departments in a team, and create and support opportunities for customer satisfaction and business growth.   • Provide technical support and on-site assistance to Field Service Engineers (FSEs) for product troubleshooting.
  • Manage escalation and feedback to overseas manufacturing departments regarding troubles and quality issues.
  • Collaborate, coordinate, and problem-solve with domestic and international related departments.
  • Provide technical information and training to FSEs, and assist in planning training programs.
  • Participate in overseas product training and deploy the same training programs domestically.
  • Ensure timely domestic deployment of product and service information.
  • Support the establishment of support systems during the domestic product introduction phase.
  • Handle recalls and revisions of ultrasound diagnostic equipment and related products.
  • You will collaborate with relevant departments, both domestic and international, to contribute to FSE productivity improvement, further enhancement of the service system, and achievement of business group goals.
  • You may be assigned FSE duties for several years to gain understanding of FSE operations, acquire product knowledge, and accumulate work experience.

Required Skills, Experience, and Personal Attributes

  • Over 5 years of practical experience as a Field Service Engineer.
  • Experience in resolving customer complaints and problems with leadership.

  • Proficiency in English reading, writing, and daily conversation, and no resistance to improving English skills (TOEIC 550 or higher).

Application Requirements

  • Contract period: Indefinite
  • Probationary period: Yes (generally 6 months from the date of joining)
  • Job content: (Immediately after employment) As above
  • Work location: Tokyo, Azabudai Hills (consultation required)
  • Working hours: 9:00-17:30
  • Break time: Generally 12:00-13:00
  • Flex-time system
  • Holidays: Every Saturday (scheduled holiday)/Sunday (legal holiday), national holidays, year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 - January 4)
  • Leave: Paid leave (up to 20 days in the first year, varies by joining month), Care Leave (10 days per year), Sick Leave (30 days per year), etc.
  • Overtime work: Yes (may include holiday work as necessary).
  • Salary: 5 million to 8 million JPY (including incentive)
  • Incentive paid once a year in March (varies depending on company performance, departmental performance, and individual evaluation).
  • For those joining mid-year, daily pro-rata calculation applies for the eligible period.
  • Others: Insurance: Social insurance (Employees' Pension Insurance, Health Insurance), Labor insurance (Employment Insurance, Workers' Accident Compensation Insurance).
