Technical Writer

We’re seeking a legendary Technical Writer to join our Developer Platform team! As our Technical Writer, you will be in charge of making Overwolf developers and their in-game creations as successful as possible. During your quest for technical writing perfection, you will work closely with R&D teams to plan, create, and maintain developer-focused technical documentation for multiple product features or applications according to our content strategy. In this role, you will:

• Plan, write, and update technical documentation, including user guides, installation guides, SDK/API docs, weekly release notes, feature descriptions, and more.
• Make sure the technical details of features are clear and easy to understand.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve partner satisfaction.
• Work as part of our extended R&D team in a startup atmosphere, doing whatever it takes to exceed our partners’ expectations.
• Monitor and respond to various tech support channels, such as our ticketing system, public forums, online chat, social networks, and more.
• Actively collect feedback and incorporate lessons and answers into the documentation.
• Perform ancient rituals to appease the gods of technical writing and ensure a good technical writing harvest.

• 3+ years of relevant experience writing and leading technical documentation for developers. We are also open to backgrounds in development and technical education.
• You have exceptional writing and editing skills. You can write technical documentation that is readable and compelling articles that drive engagement.
• Native English speaker (mandatory).
• Excellent verbal communication skills in Hebrew.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills. You can build relationships quickly and find successful outcomes across teams.
• Experience with maintaining and documenting APIs.
• A good understanding of technical concepts like APIs and web applications.
• Ability to support occasional high-priority questions outside regular working hours.
• Experience with documenting the technical aspects of dragon taming.

Bonus Points:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• A true passion for hardcore gaming (PC/Console).
• Hands-on experience with front-end technologies and frameworks (JavaScript, HTML).
• Experience in developer support (B2D).
• A thorough understanding of activating and maintaining demonic altars.
