##### Your role:
As a UI/UX Designer at Aesir Interactive, you will be responsible for interpreting system and mechanics design through the lens of the player’s expectation and the game’s creative vision. You will produce wireframes and ‘playable’ prototypes that justify your design choices.
You will work closely with system and mechanic designers, UI designers and artists and tech to produce elegant, comprehensive and expressive user experiences. Ideally, you will be capable of creating playable UX prototypes in UE5 and click-throughs and other interactive documents of your designs.
##### The kind of stuff you`ll be doing:
· Designing high-quality UI/UX for games, from concept to final implementation.
· Creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and visual mockups.
· Collaborating with game designers to translate gameplay mechanics into clear, usable interfaces.
· Specifying input schemes for our target platforms and helping to refine the first time user experience.
· Working closely with programmers to ensure your designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
· Contributing to and maintaining UI/UX style guides and documentation.
· Conducting usability tests and iterating based on feedback and data.
· Maintaining consistency in visual language and interaction patterns across the project.
· Ensuring accessibility and localization readiness within your designs.
##### Who are we looking for:
You are passionate about delivering intuitive and elegant user experiences, with an eye for visual detail and a strong understanding of player behavior.
· 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design for games or interactive applications.
· A strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX work, ideally for PC/console titles.
· Proficiency with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
· Solid understanding of UX principles, interface design, and user-centered design practices.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
· Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.
· Experience working with game engines (Unreal Engine 4/5 is a plus).
· Familiarity with accessibility standards in game ui/ux design.
##### Main responsibilities
· Designing intuitive input systems and interfaces that communicate the design vision in a frictionless and comprehensive manner.
· Prototyping and iterating on UI designs based on team and player feedback.
· Collaborating with the art and development teams to maintain visual and functional consistency.
· Defining interaction behaviors, animations, and transitions.
· Defining, driving implementation, testing and iterating UX based on user feedback.
##### Additional responsibilities:
· Pushing standards and quality of UX design within the studio.
· Defining and communicating best practices.
· Championing UX-led mechanics and system design.
· Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of evolving industry standards for UI/UX.
##### The ideal candidate also has one more of the following:
· Experience shipping at least one commercial game title.
· Familiarity with accessibility standards in game UI/UX design.
· Knowledge of motion design and animation tools (e.g., After Effects).
· Basic scripting skills or understanding of blueprints in Unreal Engine.
· A passion for creating interfaces that are both functional and beautiful.

· A well-rounded design portfolio demonstrating UI and UX thinking, especially within games.
· Hands-on experience working in cross-functional game development teams.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· The ability to handle feedback constructively and work iteratively.
