Job Description

The Workday CoreHCM Testing and Integrations role involves working with customers to document business requirements and recommending process improvements. The responsibilities include writing and maintaining functional specifications, documentation for testing, and conducting tests to ensure software upgrades meet business needs. The role also requires creating Business Requirement documents for Workday integrations, determining the flow of information, mapping processes, and identifying gaps. The incumbent will collaborate with functional and technical staff to assist with HRMS upgrades and solutions, document changes, and test results. Furthermore, the role entails researching and resolving HRMS problems, performing scheduled activities, and recommending solutions. The candidate will also assist in developing, debugging, and implementing HRMS solutions, providing functional support, and acting as a liaison between various teams to ensure the Workday system meets organizational needs. The candidate will be expected to be results driven with a customer focus and strong problem solving skills.

Works with customers to document simple to moderate business requirements.

Evaluates and recommends process improvement alternatives to support basic to general business practices.

Works with project team in support of small to medium scale projects; write or maintain existing functional specifications.

Writes documentation for testing, support, as well as conducts testing.  Creates Business Requirement documents for Workday integrations.

Determines flow of information, maps processes and identifies possible gaps.

Collaborate with functional and technical staff to assist researching, coordinating and implementing HRMS upgrades or solutions in Test and Production environments, document changes and testing results.

Conduct testing for software upgrades and new features, ensuring they meet business requirements and do not disrupt existing processes.

Researches and resolves HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. 

Assists in developing, debugging, and implementing HRMS solutions, including reports.

Assist in maintaining documentation of all HRMS applications.

Provides application functional support for HR systems.

Act as a liaison between HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the Workday system meets organizational needs.

Functional/ Business Knowledge and Communication

Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities.

Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.

Communicates working knowledge of internal HR systems processes and procedures.

Interacts with peers, program managers, GIS.

Skills and Competencies

5+ years of experience in a similar role, with hands-on experience in Workday system administration.

Effectively convey ideas through oral and written communication

Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents 

Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations

Multitasks within a flexible work environment
