Tic Toc Games is seeking a Senior Gameplay Engineer with 5+ years of Unity game development experience. <h1 class="text-3xl md:text-4xl font-extrabold mt-6 mb-4 text-gray-900 tracking-tight">Senior Gameplay Engineer (US or Philippines)</h1><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Level Game Software Engineer that has prior experience with the Unity game engine. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for driving and leading the development of high-quality games and help advance technology within the studio.</p><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">You will collaborate closely with our production and design teams to bring exciting gameplay features to life! You will not be limited to coding, but deeply involved in the design and the direction of our games together with designers, artists, and fellow engineers. Everyone of our team members loves playing and creating games!</p><h2 class="text-2xl md:text-3xl font-bold mt-10 mb-4 border-b pb-2 text-gray-800">Responsibilities:</h2><h2 class="text-2xl md:text-3xl font-bold mt-10 mb-4 border-b pb-2 text-gray-800">The right candidate:</h2><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Loves games and dedicates themselves to creating fun and magical experiences.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Communicates well, has a positive attitude, manages uncertainties, and can adjust to tackle challenges as they arise.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Has experience working with:</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Console/PC games and experiences OR Live Ops games (regardless of platform) with hundreds of thousands of players.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Taking a game from concept, to development, and finally to release and any subsequent updates.</li></ul><h2 class="text-2xl md:text-3xl font-bold mt-10 mb-4 border-b pb-2 text-gray-800">Responsibilities</h2><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Design, program, and implement robust, scalable, and high-quality game and application systems in Unity for different platforms (mobile, console, desktop, etc.)</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Break down large, complex gameplay features into smaller components and communicate clearly the level of effort required for each component.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Collaborate closely with design, art, and engineering to deliver polished, visually impressive, and optimized games.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Collaborate with the production team to pinpoint technical risks, deconstruct gameplay features into user stories, and assess the project’s scope.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Give estimates on the level of effort needed for tasks and prioritize them to ensure the game’s release aligns with our quality standards.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and encourage fellow engineers to maintain a high standard of code quality.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Provide mentorship and knowledge to less experienced engineers.</li></ul><h2 class="text-2xl md:text-3xl font-bold mt-10 mb-4 border-b pb-2 text-gray-800">Requirements:</h2><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other similar fields.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in game development using Unity.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Strong proficiency in the C# programming language and Unity’s API.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Solid understanding of game design principles and methodologies as well as different game programming patterns.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience in working with a console experience or any liveops release.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Ability to work with large existing codebase and learn new systems or concepts and implement them quickly and efficiently.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Great understanding of debugging and finding solutions to complex problems.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Comfortable working with objects in 3D space and solid understanding of individual game systems such as physics, particle effects, user interfaces, etc.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Knows foundational knowledge of version control systems (such as git and SVN) as well as continuous integration systems (such as Jenkins and Unity Cloud).</li></ul><h2 class="text-2xl md:text-3xl font-bold mt-10 mb-4 border-b pb-2 text-gray-800">Required application materials:</h2><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Resume</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Cover Letter which should answer:</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Why are you interested in working at Tic Toc Games?</li><li class="leading-relaxed">What makes you a good fit?</li><li class="leading-relaxed">What are you looking to get out of working with us?</li><li class="leading-relaxed">What games are you currently playing?</li></ul><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">We love hearing from anyone who is enthusiastic about changing the games industry.
