Senior Product Manager

As Senior Product Manager, you will own the business key performance indicators (KPIs) for your game, managing monetization, player analytics, and content strategy to maximize player lifetime value (LTV). You will lead live operations and be responsible for developing and executing hypothesis tests, interpreting the results, and delivering insights to make actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate is both a thinker and do-er with outstanding communication skills, proven experience in the gaming industry, and a proven track record of successfully live operating mobile titles. You’re most at home when you’re modeling your game metrics and using data to further refine the player experience.
This role will be accountable for driving the title’s business strategy and will collaborate with Design, Art, Programming, and Production Leads on the product roadmap and develop processes to ensure key milestones and product goals are achieved.
Responsibilities:
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Translate strategy into a set of clear measurable objectives tied to project goals, and demonstrate how initiatives impact key business metrics
- Exhibit sound product judgment to influence our game roadmap
- Develop strategies that drive increased acquisition rates, near-term engagement and long-term retention, and monetization
- Take a data-driven approach to collaborate with Design and Production to identify and implement features which promote retention for different segments of the player base
- Monitor and escalate potential issues and share performance data with development team, publishers, and leadership
- Own the daily and weekly KPIs that drive revenue and LTV for live titles
- Analyze LiveOps performance to develop and refine event, sales, and content strategies
- Develop and deliver reports to Leads and publisher executives with clear recommendations on improvements supported by data
- Collaborate with the team Leads to set experimentation plan(s) using hypothesis-driven approach
- Execute variant testing and present test results/strategies to executives and partners
- Analyze feature performance and results
- Tear down and analyze features in successful competitive titles
Requirements:
What You Bring:
- Deep knowledge of engagement and monetization design to drive business KPIs in free-to-play games
- Direct experience owning KPIs in a high performing game that met or exceeded the genre benchmarks for retention and monetization
- Thrive in cross-functional team environments and communicate effectively with all departments: Art, Design, Programming, and Production
- Ability to think strategically, tactically, and creatively
- Comfortable mining databases and extract key takeaways without the help of a dedicated analyst
- Experience communicating and defending analytical insights to executive-level audiences to inform decision making
- A self-starter: someone who is willing to step up and take charge to see their initiatives come to fruition
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4+ years Product Management experience on free-to-play (F2P) games
- Experience distilling large amounts of data to draw actionable business insight, including segmentation approaches, multivariate testing, and experimentation
- Understanding of feature design and game economies for free-to-play mobile titles
- Experience with titles both in development and in live operations
- Experience designing and documenting features
- Strong project management skills and a self-starter approach to delivering results
Nice to have, but not necessary:
- MBA or a relevant graduate-level degree providing expertise on business operations topics is preferred
- Strong passion for optimizing F2P mobile games
- Super awesome at Excel and exposure to other data analysis software
- Experience in JIRA, Confluence, or comparable team collaboration applications
- Experience writing SQL queries
