Job Description
##### About Us
Bronto.io is a fast-growing B2B technology company revolutionizing the observability space.
While we have some of the world's leading engineers and researchers building incredibly powerful log management technology, we believe the way that technology is presented to the user is equally as important as its core functionality.
##### The Opportunity
Current observability tools are outdated, cumbersome, and full of toil; they require users to master complex systems before extracting value. We are changing that.
We are looking for a Product Designer with 4+ years of experience to redefine user experience for the AI era. You won't just design screens; you will question norms and reimagine workflows to create interfaces that are dynamic, proactive, and shape themselves around the user's needs.
##### I. Strategic Innovation & Process 🎯
We need a thinker who can break the status quo of "expert-only" tools and democratize data for a wider audience.
- A) Killing "Toil": You will design to eliminate friction. You understand that in the AI era, value should be surfaced proactively, not hidden behind steep learning curves and manual queries.
- B) Dynamic Interfaces: You will move beyond static dashboards. You will design adaptive user experiences that shift based on intent, making complex log data intuitive and actionable.
- C) Questioning Norms: You are not here to copy existing patterns. You will actively challenge how things are done in the observability space to drive value faster and more intuitively.
##### II. Technical Collaboration 🧠
Bronto is positioned to build the most powerful tech in the observability market; your job is to make it usable.
- A) Bridge the Gap: Work closely with world-class engineers to translate complex technical capabilities into simple, beautiful user flows.
- B) Visualizing Intelligence: Design the interaction patterns for our AI features, ensuring that "black box" logic is presented with clarity and trust.
##### Evidence of Success 🏆
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Product Design experience, specifically within B2B SaaS.
- Observability Fluency: You have a clear understanding of the observability space and log management use cases. You know the problems users face today and have ideas on how to fix them.
- A "Process-First" Portfolio: Evidence of innovative "outside the box" thinking where you successfully took a cumbersome technical process and simplified it.
Success Stories Candidates must be prepared to share specific examples:
- The "Redesign" Story: Describe a time you challenged an industry norm or existing process to significantly improve user efficiency (e.g., "I took a 10-step workflow and reduced it to 2 using automation").
- The "Observability" Context: Discuss a project that demonstrates your understanding of technical users and how you solved a specific pain point in the data/analytics space.
- The "Simplification" Win: Show us how you visualized a complex dataset or technical concept to make it accessible to a non-expert audience.
