Product Analyst | Candy Crush Soda Saga

King

Job Summary

As a Product Analyst, your mission is to transform player data into strategic insights that directly inform product development and innovation. You’ll work embedded within cross-functional product teams to uncover problems, shape solutions, define success metrics, and evaluate impact — all with the aim of improving player experience and driving business outcomes. You are expected to go beyond reporting — you are a decision-shaping partner for product, design, and engineering. This means developing causal understanding of metric movements, supporting experimentation, and ensuring learnings compound over time across teams and themes.

Must Have

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to surface player behaviors, unmet needs, and opportunity areas.
  • Design and evaluate A/B tests using robust statistical frameworks.
  • Partner with Product Managers to define hypotheses, target and guardrail metrics, and interpret test outcomes.
  • Run post-test deep dives to uncover causality and unintended effects.
  • Contribute to a cumulative knowledge base that informs future product bets.
  • Attend planning, standups, retros, and other rituals to remain embedded in the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with PMs and Designers in problem and solution discovery processes.
  • Provide pre-intervention scoping support (e.g. feasibility, estimated impact, prior learnings).
  • Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse audiences.
  • Build, maintain, and improve dashboards for key performance metrics.
  • Automate repetitive reporting tasks to free up time for strategic analysis.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across tools and pipelines in collaboration with Data Scientists.
  • Document all major analytical work in a centralized repository with clear methodologies and outcomes.
  • Participate in peer reviews to raise the bar for analytical excellence.
  • Contribute to building a culture of hypothesis-driven development and decision-making.
  • Experience working with data using SQL and creating sophisticated queries.
  • Adept in visualisation tools with experience in information visualisation and presentation.
  • Experience with A/B testing, statistical analysis, and experiment design.
  • Demonstrable ability to extract, manipulate, and interpret large datasets, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Strong communication and storytelling abilities — able to translate data into product narratives.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive decisions through evidence.

Good to Have

  • Experience in gaming, consumer apps, or digital products with large user bases.
  • Familiarity with data modelling and basic scripting (e.g., Python or R).
  • Understanding of player behaviour segmentation, leading/lagging KPIs, and user lifecycle metrics.
  • Knowledge of user research and design thinking principles.
  • Experience with roadmap planning, understanding how data analysis informs the prioritisation of new features or enhancements to existing ones.
