We’re looking for a Senior Game Designer with strong collaboration skills to help shape and deliver features that delight players of Candy Crush Soda Saga, one of our biggest and most successful mobile match3 games.
In this role you will guide and shape features throughout the entire design process with your team, from early explorations to the final release. You will confidently balance the best possible player experience with business impact, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to ship high-quality features at scale.
Your role within the Kingdom
As a Senior Game Designer in Soda, you will take ownership of the design decisions within a focused area such as core gameplay, live ops & events, or permanent progression. You’ll work within the established design direction of our game while partnering with UX, UI, Development, Product, Data Science, User Research, Sound, and Art to deliver meaningful experiences for millions of players.
With a problem-solution mindset, you will confidently translate player insights and quantitative and qualitative data into clear design choices, create documentation that outlines reasoning and guides implementation, support player testing, and iterate to ensure your solutions are accessible, data-informed, and aligned with product strategy and roadmap.
You’re a strong communicator and a champion of design principles. You build strong relationships across disciplines and introduce innovative mechanics and concepts while respecting technical and performance constraints.

Skills to create thrills:
- Experience working on live games, ideally mobile free-to-play, with deep knowledge of casual gameplay mechanics and player motivations within this space.
- Proven ability to design viable core gameplay loops and connecting meta systems or features, with strong analytical and intuitive skills.
- Communicate designs clearly and efficiently through artefacts such as presentation decks, visual one-pagers, mockups, written documents, or prototypes.
- Demonstrated ownership of the entire design process, including problem definition, exploration, concepting, production and implementation, player testing, iteration, and final delivery.
- Clear written and verbal communication. Work closely with stakeholders across disciplines to align on goals, clarify priorities, and keep teams informed as designs evolve.
- Data-informed decision-making using qualitative and quantitative insights; experience operating within agile product development.
- Request and synthesize feedback, respond quickly to pivots and changing priorities, and balance independent work with effective cross-functional collaboration.
