Game Mathematician

JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a Game Mathematician. In this role, you will handle designing and implementing mathematical logic for slot games, working from specifications provided by Game Designers. This role requires a deep understanding of probability and statistical modeling to ensure the games are mathematically sound and engaging.

Please note: you must have at least 4+ years of experience as Mathematician to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Developing core mathematical frameworks for slot gameplay.
• Calculating win probabilities and evaluating key game metrics.
• Creating Python-based simulations to evaluate and improve game logic.
• Collaborating with Game Designers to adjust and balance payouts.
• Cooperating with multidisciplinary teams including Developers, Artists, Project Managers, QA, and other Mathematicians throughout the development cycle.
• Preparing detailed mathematical documentation to support regulatory compliance and approvals.
• Acting as the internal reference for mathematical topics and assisting with concept phase evaluations, particularly for exploitability or compliance risks.

EXPERIENCE

• BS in Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong programming skills in any of languages such as Python, C++, C#, or Java.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analytical tasks.
• High diligence and precision.
• A collaborative mindset and initiative-taking approach to teamwork.
• Strong technical English and clear communication skills.
