Job Summary
Activision Central Tech is seeking talented and innovative students for a 2026 summer and fall co-op in Cloud Engineering. The team develops software tools and infrastructure technologies for various Activision studios, supporting AAA franchises like Call of Duty. Must Have
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education or graduate program
- Graduating December 2026 – July 2027
- Available to participate in a 7-month co-op starting mid-May
- Currently residing in Canada or open to relocating oneself to Canada
- Exhibits learning agility; has the ability to think differently, and/or grasp and apply new skills and concepts
- Approaches problems in a clear, well-organized, and solutions-oriented manner
- Works well with others and contributes to team tasks
- Able to effectively communicate problems, solutions, needs, or priorities
- Is engaged, seeks to learn, and is able to manage time effectively

- Debugging and analytical skills
- Able to communicate technical concepts
- Basic Linux command-line familiarity
- Familiarity with scripting
- Familiarity with source control (git preferred)

- Knowledge of networking technologies (e.g., TCP, UDP, DNS)
- Experience diving into code to understand how it’s supposed to work -- and why it doesn’t
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions, CircleCI, Gitlab CI/CD, etc.)
- Experience with Observability tools (Elasticsearch, Grafana, Splunk, etc.)
- Experience with identity and secrets management
- Experience with container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Nomad, etc)

Activision Central Tech is looking for talented and innovative students to join our team for the summer and fall of 2026. The team provides software tools and build infrastructure technologies for several Activision studios, like Sledgehammer Games, Treyarch, and Infinity Ward for hit AAA franchises like Call of Duty. The Vancouver studio is part of a broader team headed up from Los Angeles and is housed within Demonware. We are a technology company and dedicated to openness. This means collaborating to tackle problems, the freedom to talk to anyone, and the best idea wins. We take the work seriously; ourselves, not so much!

Co-op Opportunities
All co-ops will be conducted in-person 3 days a week at our Vancouver office. Co-ops living 150km+ away from the office location will have the option to opt into relocation services and receive a living stipend to supsidize costs.
Cloud Engineering Co-Op:
As a Cloud Engineering Co-op, you’ll gain hands-on experience implementing cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure, identity and authentication systems, developer tools, and observability frameworks. You’ll help design and build tools and automations that run on distributed systems, identifying opportunities to streamline manual workflows through automation. Your work will include performing root cause analyses and proposing engineering solutions to prevent or mitigate recurring incidents. You’ll also participate in design and code reviews, contributing to the development of scalable, high-performance systems that support our engineering teams

The standard base pay range for this role is 65,000 CAD annually. This value is the expected annualized base pay of interns in British Columbia, Canada. Ultimately, your offer will be based on several factors, including relevant education, performance, and work location. The standard base pay range for this role is $38,745.00 - $81,990.00 CAD. These values reflect the expected annualized base pay range of new hires in British Columbia, Canada. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
