The Account Technical Executive (ATX) leverages technical expertise and industry insight to maximize the value of Cadence System Design solutions. This role involves collaborating with sales executives and the Cadence team to address complex customer challenges, optimize system architectures, and achieve improvements in size, power, cost, and quality. The ATX applies Cadence solutions, including electromagnetic and thermal analysis, PCB, module, and IC design tools, to solve customer problems.
Must have:
  • Understanding of EDA tools, IP, Systems/PCB/IC design, and manufacturing eco-system.
  • Fluent user of CAE systems including Matlab, Ansys, ADS, Virtuoso, Spectre.
  • Experience with multi-physics simulation and system thermal analysis.
  • Deep understanding of electronics systems and IC software design processes, including heterogeneous integration and advanced packaging.
  • Understanding of emerging design practices like MBSE, digital twins, and agile development.
  • Ability to digest system-level block diagrams, discuss trade-offs, and suggest improvements.
  • Ability to foster and grow customer relationships at all levels.
  • Proven track-record in identifying customer pain-points and communicating them effectively.
  • BSEE degree.
  • 5-10 years Mixed Signal and/or Custom IC engineering experience.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel 25% (mainly western NA).
Good to have:
  • MSEE degree is highly desirable.

Job Description

As an Account Technical Executive (ATX), you will utilize your technical knowledge, deep insight of the customer challenges and broader industry knowledge to maximize and monetize the value of Cadence System Design solutions. Working in concert with a strategic account focused sales executives, as well as the broader Cadence team, you will partner to understand how to solve complex customer challenges and optimize architectures for systems whereby dramatic improvements in size, area, power, cost, and quality can be achieved thru applications of current and emerging Cadence solutions including electromagnetic analysis, thermal analysis, PCB and module design, and IC design tools, methodologies, and flows.

Key Qualifications

  • Must be comfortable in a technical setting and have an understanding of EDA tools, IP, Systems/PCB/IC design and the module, board, and semiconductor manufacturing eco-system
  • Fluent user of CAE systems including Matlab, Ansys, ADS, and Virtuoso, Spectre and experience with multi-physics simulation and system thermal analysis
  • Deep understanding of electronics systems and IC software design processes relevant to the customer ecosystem including heterogeneous integration and advanced packaging
  • Understanding of emerging design practices including model-based systems engineering (MBSE), digital twins, agile development.
  • The ability to digest system level block diagrams of existing systems, discuss trade-off decisions and impact, and provide suggestions to make improvements in area’s including integration opportunities, use of advanced IC and packaging technologies, and alternative form factors while considering time to market, cost, risk, thermal, electrical, electromagnetic, and signal integrity performance and issues.
  • The ability to foster and grow customer relationships throughout all levels of the customer organization to better connect our solutions with the customer's problems/business challenges and insure roadmap alignment for long term success.
  • A proven track-record demonstrating ability to identify and understand customer pain-points and the ability to communicate this to a broad range of technical and non-technical persons.

Position Requirements

  • BSEE (MSEE highly desirable)
  • Technical background as per the qualifications above
  • 5-10 years Mixed Signal and/or Custom IC engineering experience
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Interaction and collaboration in a customer environment
  • Ability to travel (mainly western NA) 25%
