The Role

As an essential part of the finance team, the Accountant ensures that financial processes within the company run smoothly and precisely. This role is responsible for creating clear and reliable financial reports, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting internal and external audits. It also plays an important role in cross-departmental collaboration and works closely with other departments to coordinate financial matters and increase operational efficiency.

Tasks

• Management of processes for accounts payable and receivable with SAP Business One and Workday
• Monitoring of VAT settlements in compliance with local tax regulations
• Execution of bookings and reconciliations in the general ledger to maintain financial integrity
• Processing of intercompany transactions with corresponding documentation and reconciliation
• Support for cash flow and asset management to promote financial stability
• Participation in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as well as support for statutory audits
• Collaboration on finance-related projects to improve processes and promote innovation
• Creation of financial analyses and reports as a basis for strategic decisions

Competencies

• Solid commercial background with further education in finance
• Practical experience in a dynamic financial environment
• Technology affinity with a focus on IT and financial systems; targeted use of digital solutions for process optimization
• Experience with Workday is a clear advantage
• Positive, adaptable attitude and excellent teamwork skills
• Fluent German and English language skills, written and spoken
