Wabtec Corporation is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer - Technical Regulations and Standards to lead certification efforts in the TR CU regulatory space for locomotives and components. This role involves developing and implementing certification strategies, managing the budget, coordinating testing, preparing documentation, and conducting facility audits. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with TR CU 001/2011, contributing to the company's mission of revolutionizing global transportation through innovative solutions and a people-first approach. Wabtec is a global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and services for freight and transit rail, mining, marine, and industrial markets.
Must have:
  • Lead certification efforts in TR CU regulatory space for locomotives and components
  • Define and implement company certification strategies to optimize costs
  • Manage certification budget and related financial planning
  • Coordinate sample shipments to test laboratories for certification testing
  • Prepare applications and technical documentation according to TR CU 001/2011 requirements
  • Organize and participate in component certification testing processes
  • Coordinate and conduct facility audits during certification processes
  • Manage contracts for component certification and annual audits
  • Prepare documentation for certification agencies for annual audit readiness
  • Guide manufacturing facilities through audit preparation processes
  • Obtain and maintain certificates and declarations in accordance with TR CU 001/2011
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in certification management
  • In-depth knowledge of TR CU 001/2011 regulations and certification requirements
  • Experience with international certification standards and processes
  • Strong project management and budgeting skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in English
