We are looking for a Advisor Software Developer responsible of working closely with diverse engineering and product teams to ensure features delivery that are part of the OneTru Platform team.

This position will be responsible of analyzing, designing, coding, supporting and troubleshooting applications, services and solutions. In this role, the Advisor Software Developer will work closely with developers, QA, PM, and UX to ensure their features are delivered to meet business and quality requirements.

This is a remote position for candidates in Costa Rica, which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.

What You'll Bring:

• Works with an agile team to develop, test, and maintain cloud and desktop business applications.

• Contribute to all phases of the development environment.

• Design, develop and implement enterprise scale solutions to support the organization’s business strategy and goals.

• Review requirements and data models and translate into responsible applications and architecture.

• Ensure designs are compliant with specifications.

• Guide and support team members by reviewing code & pair-programing.

• Ensure code and repository best practices.

• Demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve complex issues that span multiple technology components.

• Write well defined testable/unit-tested code.

• Supports deployment of solutions in multi-environment configurations.

• Support improvements by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for review.

• Develop functional documentation and guidelines for other team members.

• Work closely with System Architects to ensure smooth integration of 3rd party engines.

• Resolve technical issues and bring in innovation that improves scalability and performance of products.

• Comfortable with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.

• Participate in platform and application architecture discussions, ensuring that all architectures support the operational excellence initiatives and will comply with defined KPIs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor´s degree in computer science, information technology or STEM field preferred. Relevant experience or degree in progress will be accepted in lieu of degree.

• 9+ years of Software Development experience.

• Advanced in English (Speaking, writing, and reading).

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to provide mentorship, code review and design review to others on Scrum teams.

• Strong knowledge of programming and scripting languages - Java (7+ years)/Python(3+)/Scala/Javascript.

• Experience with back end server-side development.

• Experience building self-contained, reusable, and testable API’s using Springboot framework.

• Experience with front end development, and usability.

• Experience with Git and version control.

• Experience with Cloud services (GCP/Azure/AWS) or Kubernetes or Docker (5+ years).

• Experience with any relational database and one of the NoSQL database. 

• Experience with Web frameworks like Vue, React or Angular (3+ years).

• Proven track-record providing software design and development for multiple areas.

• Experience with Continuous Deployment, Infrastructure as Code, Automated Testing, Automated Configuration Management.

• Experience with large scale data processing systems like Hadoop, Map Reduce or Spark.

• Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer certification is a plus.
