Marsh is seeking a talented insurance professional to join their Affinity team in Auckland, leading the Transport and Auto team. The role involves retaining, growing, and ensuring the profitability of a portfolio of key SME Transport & Auto accounts. Responsibilities include leading and developing team members, proactive account management, service delivery, and implementing effective renewal and broking strategies. This is a hybrid role requiring at least three days in the office.
Must have:
  • Take a pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients
  • Lead a team of colleagues, supporting their development and success
  • Recognise and capitalise upon revenue generation, growth and other opportunities
  • Lead, plan and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies
  • New Zealand certificate in Financial Services (level 5)
  • Relevant insurance experience in either broking or underwriting
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance products and the local market
  • Prior experience managing a small team
  • Excellent communication skills to build rapport and lead client conversations with confidence

Following the expansion of our overall Marsh NZ Transport strategy, we are seeking a talented insurance professional to join our Affinity team in Auckland. Leading the Transport and Auto team, you will be responsible for the retention, growth and profitability of a portfolio of key SME Transport & Auto accounts. You will also focus on leading and developing team members by providing clear and effective communication, leadership and strategic direction.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days in the office.

We will count on you to:

  • Take a pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.
  • Lead a team of colleagues, supporting their development and success.
  • Recognise and capitalise upon revenue generation, growth and other opportunities.
  • Lead, plan and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies, ensuring renewal process and results meet client expectations.

What you need to have:

  • New Zealand certificate in Financial Services (level 5).
  • Relevant insurance experience in either broking or underwriting, preferable within transport and auto insurance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance products and the local market.
  • Prior experience managing a small team.
  • Excellent communication skills to build rapport and lead client conversations with confidence.
