Senior Risk Advisor

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Senior Risk Advisor team at Marsh. This role will be based in our Wellington office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

• Assist Client Executives with the preparation, management, implementation and achievement of business plans and goals
• Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers and frequently monitor changes within client organisations to preserve and protect the Company’s relationship with the client
• Take a pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards
• Implement successful account retention and defence strategies
• Maintain awareness of all large and potentially complicated claim related matters and assist in the negotiation of equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients
• Possess a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance offered and keep abreast of new technical and product developments
• Maintain ultimate responsibility for the timely and accurate production, processing and delivery of client related administration and documentation

What you need to have:

• Experience in fire and general insurance
• New Zealand Certificate in Financial Advice (Level 5) or commitment to obtaining within a reasonable timeframe
• Demonstrated experience in the insurance industry
• Negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good working knowledge of all aspects of insurance and relevant legislation
