AI/ML Software Engineer

Qualcomm is seeking an AI/ML Software Engineer to develop and implement machine learning techniques, frameworks, and tools for state-of-the-art solutions across mobile, edge, auto, and IoT products. This role involves building highly optimized on-device AI solutions, combining high-performance software with cutting-edge hardware to run deep neural networks. You will work on AI engines like Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine, Android NN, and TensorFlow Lite delegate, developing new tools and SDKs to extend AI solutions for industry-leading customer use cases.

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Develop optimization algorithms for ML operators/layers for the AI SW stack.
• Enhance AI SW stack framework for optimal resource usage with neural networks.
• Develop software tools for profiling and debugging new neural networks.
• Evaluate and optimize neural networks’ runtime performance and accuracy.
• Enable state-of-the-art network models and new AI SW features for customer use-cases.
• Collaborate with AI hardware and architecture teams to improve AI solutions.
• Contribute to development process to ensure commercial quality software releases.

Good to Have

• Excellent programming, analytical, development, and debugging skills.
• Experience with C/C++, Python.
• Android or embedded Linux software development.
• Optimizing algorithms for hardware acceleration cores using OpenCL, OpenGL ES, and/or DSPs.
• Experience with Python numpy and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Background in mathematical operations (linear algebra, fast math libraries, multi-threading, vector instruction sets).

• Development of optimization algorithms for ML operators/layers for the AI SW stack

• Evaluating and optimizing neural networks’ runtime performance and accuracy
