Job Summary
Job Description
Guardian Life is seeking a Senior Engineer IT with 4-5 years of experience in ALIP Product Configuration. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science and strong skills in Java, JavaScript, Spring Integration, and Spring batch. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of SQL databases, including Postgres, and experience with issue management and quality assurance. Responsibilities include test management and collaborating within an Agile environment. Desirable experience includes Life (Annuity preferable) insurance business practices, ALIP or other Life Policy Administration/Actuarial applications, and ALIP DB understanding.
Must have:
- Develop with Java, JavaScript, Spring Integration, and Spring batch.
- Understand and write SQL queries, preferably with Postgres.
- Perform issue management and quality assurance.
- Manage testing processes.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Work effectively in an Agile environment with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrate good communication skills.
Good to have:
- Experience in Life (Annuity preferable) insurance business practices or Life Insurance Policy Administration.
- Experience with ALIP or other Life (Annuity preferable) Policy Administration / Actuarial applications.
- Experience in ALIP Annuity Product configuration or business configuration.
- Life Actuarial experience.
- Understanding of ALIP DB.

Job Description:

- 4 to 5 years’ experience in Java, JavaScript or similar scripting languages, Spring Integration development Spring batch etc.
- Preferably experienced ALIP or other Life (Annuity Preferrable) Policy Administration / Actuarial applications
- ALIP Annuity Product configuration or business configuration and/or Life Actuarial experience is desirable.
- Good Understanding of SQL database and ability to write SQL queries (Postgres preferable).
- ALIP DB understanding will be preferrable
- Issue Management and Quality Assurance
- Test Management
- Should have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and function with various business and IT stakeholders.
- Good Communication skills
