Job Description

Papaya is a fast-growing mobile game company seeking a Business Analyst Team Lead for its Bingo Studio in Tel Aviv. This role involves leading an analytics team, analyzing complex datasets to understand player behavior, and collaborating with product and development teams to optimize features and drive revenue growth through data-driven insights and A/B testing.
Good To Have:
  • Experience working in analytics, product, or monetization-focused environments.
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, SciPy, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
Must Have:
  • Lead and mentor the analytics team, setting priorities and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover insights on player behavior, engagement, and monetization.
  • Collaborate with Product, Economy, Monetization, and Development teams to design, test, and optimize features.
  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports to track key KPIs and support business decisions.
  • Plan, execute, and interpret A/B tests and data experiments to guide strategies.
  • Transform analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Analytics experience, including at least 2 years of direct team management.
  • Experience in B2C environments, or 2+ years in the gaming industry.
  • B.A. / B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Strong SQL skills with proven experience querying large and complex data sets.
  • Experience with BI visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
  • Extensive knowledge of A/B testing methodologies, statistical analysis, and experiment design.

We are looking for a sharp and passionate Business Analyst Team Lead to join our top-notch Bingo Studio. Using your technical and analytical skills, your mission will be to tell the story behind the numbers, understand how players interact with our games, and leverage our data to propose new ideas that you’ll then see implemented.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the analytics team, setting priorities, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and fostering a data-driven culture.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover insights on player behavior, engagement, and monetization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product, Economy, Monetization, and Development teams to design, test, and optimize new features, events, and user journeys.
  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports to track key KPIs, identify trends, and support business decisions.
  • Plan, execute, and interpret A/B tests and data experiments to guide product and monetization strategies.
  • Transform analytical findings into actionable recommendations, driving improvements in player experience and revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of Analytics experience, including at least 2 years of direct team management leading a team of business or product analysts.
  • Experience in B2C environments, or 2+ years in the gaming industry, working with large, complex datasets.
  • B.A. / B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or an equivalent quantitative field.
  • Strong SQL skills with proven experience querying large and complex data sets – must have.
  • Experience with BI visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker – must have.
  • Extensive knowledge of A/B testing methodologies, statistical analysis, and experiment design.
  • Experience working in analytics, product, or monetization-focused environments – advantage.
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, SciPy, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn) – advantage.
