Manychat is seeking an Anti-Fraud Manager to lead the strategy, vision, and execution of fraud prevention across its platform, focusing on WhatsApp and Email channels. This role involves guiding a cross-functional team, leveraging data to design monitoring systems and risk models, and balancing security with user experience to safeguard users and strengthen platform integrity. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in product management and data analytics.
Must Have:
  • Lead vision, roadmap, and execution for fraud detection and prevention, focusing on WhatsApp and Email.
  • Lead cross-functional team (analysts, engineers, agents) on anti-fraud goals.
  • Design monitoring systems, risk models, and dashboards using data.
  • Develop scalable dashboards, data alerts, and models to identify fraud.
  • Balance product decisions to reduce fraud without user friction.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers for anti-fraud integration.
  • Monitor emerging threats and design proactive defenses.
  • Protect users and platform integrity, supporting business growth.
  • 7+ years in product management and data analytics, leading cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record launching and scaling data-driven products in high-volume environments.
  • Strong analytical background: hands-on with SQL, Python, BI tools (Tableau, Metabase, Amplitude).
  • Familiarity with fraud detection methods, risk scoring, and operational anti-fraud processes.
  • Product mindset: identify problems, design solutions, balance risk and usability.
  • Strong management and communication skills to rally teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO 🚀

  • Own the anti-fraud domain by leading the vision, roadmap, and execution for fraud detection and prevention initiatives, with a primary focus on WhatsApp and Email channels.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of data analysts, engineers, and fraud operations agents, aligning them on measurable anti-fraud goals.
  • Leverage data to design monitoring systems, risk models, and dashboards that provide clear visibility into fraud trends and platform health.
  • Develop scalable dashboards, data alerts, and models to identify fraudulent behavior and mitigate risks early.
  • Balance trade-offs by making product and process decisions that reduce fraud without creating unnecessary friction for legitimate users.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to integrate anti-fraud measures seamlessly into core product flows.
  • Stay ahead of emerging threats by monitoring fraud tactics and technologies and designing proactive defenses.
  • Protect users and platform integrity while supporting business growth and scalability.

TO SHINE IN THIS ROLE 💥

You’ll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management and data analytics, including leading cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling data-driven products in high-volume environments (finance, trading, retail, or SaaS).
  • Strong analytical background: hands-on with SQL, Python, BI tools (Tableau, Metabase, Amplitude), and building dashboards and monitoring systems.
  • Familiarity with fraud detection methods, risk scoring, and operational anti-fraud processes.
  • Product mindset: ability to identify the right problems to solve, design effective solutions, and balance risk reduction with usability.
  • Strong management and communication skills: capable of rallying data teams, engineers, and operations toward a shared vision.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with curiosity about emerging fraud patterns and technologies.
