We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Application Development Manager to assesses, designs, develops, configures and implements the application/infrastructure solutions to support the business requirements to meet customer expectations. Collaborates with stakeholders across OLG to ensure that the application/infrastructure solution designs and developments drive the desired business results.
Reporting to the Technology Product Owner - Corporate Services, you will be empowered to:
- Develops the application, data and infrastructure assessment and design in accordance to business requirements
- Plan and execute deployments of simple to moderately complex software releases and updates. Develop and maintain deployment processes, procedures, and scripts.
- Conducts the design, configuration, development of new applications/infrastructure solutions
- Conducts changes required to existing systems (e.g. upgrade/new releases, optimization)
- Manage continuous deployment using automation tools and techniques. Monitor and optimize deployment processes for efficiency and reliability. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of deployed applications.
- Develop and configure integrations in addition to conducting unit testing and technical fixes during subsequent testing etc.
- Develops and deploys proof of concepts, prototypes and evaluates opportunities to leverage agile methodologies and tools
- Develops and maintains code and configuration repositories to ensure code is centrally monitored/managed
- Implement disaster recovery arrangements and documents recovery procedures. Conduct testing of recovery procedures. Contribute to the development of continuity management plans.
- Support the change and release management process (ITIL) including defining release strategy & associated task planning for change projects, service readiness & acceptance and service transition
- Provides tier three (3) application support, including on call support as required to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Identifies potential solution risks/issues and escalates/communicates to relevant key stakeholders (business/technology/vendors) to ensure a mitigation strategy is developed
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop and agree on system integration plans and report on progress.
- Define and configure complex / new integration builds and test environments.
- Prepare documentation and other relevant information to transition to the operate team for business as usual
Work Experience:
- Minimum six (6) years’ progressive experience in medium to large Technology environments including experience in within Technology or related function
- Minimum of four (4) years' experience in solution application/infrastructure design, development and/or delivery
- Providing Subject Matter Expertise and/or guidance to the team
- Proficient in twenty-six (26) of the above primary knowledge competency areas for application development and/or;
- Proficient in eighteen (18) areas for infrastructure development, as listed above
