We are the German subsidiary of a globally leading provider of simulation and training technology for pilots and flying personnel. We develop, produce, and support state-of-the-art training devices for flight and land simulation as well as networked simulation applications. Our approximately 500 employees work in international teams and face exciting challenges daily.
Do you enjoy working in a team, programming, and are enthusiastic about technology? Then CAE at the Stolberg (near Aachen) location offers you the perfect environment for your career start in the exciting world of flight simulation! Apply now for an apprenticeship starting September 1, 2026 as a
Mathematical-Technical Software Developer (m/f/d) – MATSE
The dual apprenticeship is combined with the Bachelor's degree program "Applied Mathematics and Computer Science" at FH Aachen, so you will have two degrees at the end – an IHK degree as a trained mathematical-technical software developer (m/f/d) and the academic title "Bachelor of Science".
As a MATSE student, you will have the opportunity to tinker with a variety of scientific and technical problems in the exciting field of flight simulation and apply and deepen your math knowledge.
You will work in a team with other students and experienced colleagues to develop solution strategies based on mathematical models. You will learn how to modify models and formally represent application problems. Topics such as operating systems and databases, computer architectures, and network technology will eventually become your daily bread. From day one, a colleague will be at your side as a 'buddy', so you always have a competent contact person for your questions.
Programming and testing our software solutions are carried out in international teams, and you can see the results of your work directly on the product, the flight simulators. You will have the opportunity to get to know various agile development methods not only in theory but also in practice, as you develop into a professional developer.
Please apply by submitting your complete application documents (cover letter, resume, school certificates). Our privacy policy can be found at this Link.
