Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) is a cloud native Security Service Edge (SSE) solution that builds on a decade of secure web gateway leadership. We're looking for an experienced Software Architect to join our Core Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) team.You will be an Individual Contributor Reporting to the Vice President, Software Development Engineering, you'll be responsible for:
- Ongoing innovation and enhancement of our Cloud Web Proxy and Firewall solution.
- You will architect solutions to prevent complex attacks, intrusions, and data loss utilizing Zero Trust architecture.
- Provide architectural guidance to identify potential threats and assessing risk levels across policies and access controls.
- Plan architectural changes to respond to risk and the latest security standards.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 15+ years software development experience in large-scale commercial networking oriented applications along with BS degree in Engineering/Computer Science.
- You are experienced in Load balancers, IPS/IDS, Routers, HTTP/SSL Proxy, Firewall products in multi-threading / multi-core / fault tolerant real-time embedded platforms.
- You have expert-level programming skills in C and UNIX/Linux/RTOS and are an expert in complete software development cycle.
- Have expertise in implementation of Web-proxy for HTTP 1.1/2.0/3.0 and has experience with TCP/IP, High performance Computing, Event-based programming, and Fault Tolerance.
- Expertise on the following is desirable: cryptographic technologies, cryptographic device drivers, cryptographic acceleration chips, SSL accelerators and public-key infrastructure(PKI).
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with FreeBSD-based networking solutions.
- Knowledge of HTTP and web proxies.
- Experience in Cloud-based Networking solutions and some small company/startup experience.
