Job Description

This role is for an SME Infoblox Network Administrator providing Tier3 support. Responsibilities include fault isolation, configuration management of LANs, WANs, wireless networks, security devices, and Infoblox appliances. The administrator will configure and manage DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and other Infoblox services, ensuring integration and performance. Key tasks involve managing Grid masters, zones, NTP, applying patches, monitoring systems, and handling IP schemes. The role requires hands-on experience with Infoblox, routers, switches, wireless controllers, ITIL knowledge, and proficiency in network automation, Azure or AWS, and professional certifications like CCNP or DDI.

Must Have:
  • Provide Tier3 support for network issues.
  • Perform fault isolation and resolution in accordance with SLA.
  • Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices including Infoblox.
  • Configure DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and other Infoblox services.
  • Manage Grid master pairs and import/create zones on Infoblox (NIOS).
  • Configure Infoblox as Authoritative NTP and fix time drift.
  • Apply patches, updates, and security fixes to systems.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Manage IP Scheme, create DHCP scopes, and configure options.
  • Offload DNS from AD and migrate to Infoblox.
  • Manage Bloxone Threat defense, Threat Analytics, and DNS Forwarding Proxies.
  • Manage domains on CSC registrar and DNS zones on UltraDNS.
  • Order, renew, and re-issue SSL certificates.
  • Maintain and predesign documents for network infrastructure.
  • Minimum 8 years of technology experience in a networking environment.
  • ITIL foundation knowledge and certification.
  • Hands-on experience in Infoblox, routers, switches, and wireless controllers (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki).
  • Proficient in Network Automation.
  • Professional level certification (CCNP, DDI professional).
  • Proficient with standard troubleshooting practices and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.

What success looks like in this role:

  • Provide Tier3 support.
  • Perform fault isolation and resolution in a methodical and thorough manner in accordance with SLA.
  • Remotely support customers and/or onsite technicians.
  • Configuration management of Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Wireless (LANs), network segments, security devices and Internet and Intranet systems to ensure operability.
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, routers, switches, controllers and Infoblox.
  • Assist with configuration within Infoblox appliances.
  • Configure DNS (Domain Name System)/Ultra DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and other Infoblox services as per the requirements.
  • Ensure integration with existing network infrastructure and systems.
  • Management of Grid master pairs. Import the Zone to Infoblox.
  • Create a new authoritative zone on Infoblox (NIOS – Network Identity Operating System).
  • Configure Primary Zone, DNS forward zone, DNS reverse zone and Configure forwarders.
  • Dynamic DNS registration (DDNS), GSS-TSIG & Keytab file creation.
  • Configure Infoblox as the Authoritative NTP. Sync the NTP to the external time server, Fix time drift on the NTP.
  • Apply patches, updates, and security fixes in a timely manner as needed based on the vendor’s recommendations.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to identify and address any issues.
  • Monitor and fix any Sync issue between the Grid Master (HA Pairs).
  • Manage IP Scheme and Update the IP address information.
  • Create and maintain new DHCP scope and configure DHCP options.
  • Enable Device administration, DHCP lease history, Utilization, and audit logs.
  • Set/grant required permissions for reporting and analytics app.
  • Offload DNS from AD and Migrate to Infoblox
  • Enable Zone-Transfer on the Windows-DNS
  • Leverage NIOS DNS Traffic Control for DNS Load balancing
  • Configure/Manage NIOS Response Policy Zones.
  • Configure Infoblox DNS views as per customer requirement
  • Manage Bloxone Threat defense, Threat Analytics - Cloud & NIOS
  • Manage Bloxone DNS Forwarding Proxies for NIOS
  • Manage domains on CSC registrar and DNS zones on UltraDNS
  • Domain transfer In/Out - CSC
  • Order/renew/re-issue SSL certificates – CSC
  • Maintaining and predesign documents for all network infrastructure.
  • Maintains on-call availability to respond to network issues and up-time; must be flexible and available with the scheduling
  • Plan and implement network changes as per the ITIL change management process
  • Meet and exceed customer SLA or OLA metrics.
  • Work with third party vendors to remediate and resolve customer issues.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Minimum 8 years of technology experience in a networking environment.
  • ITIL foundation knowledge and certification.
  • Hand-on experience in Infoblox, routers, switches, and wireless controllers (Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki)
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Should be proficient in Network Automation.
